Are you trying to start a new CERT program or wanting to learn more about how to run one?  CERT Program Manager is the course intended for senior leadership and decision makers within a CERT program.  The course covers managerial concepts related to CERT program administration, including developing training plans and managing volunteers.  This course is perfect for anyone looking to start a CERT program, or is already involved in leading one.

  • Sponsorship from a registered CERT program or agency.
  • ICS 100
  • ICS 200
  • ICS 700
  • ICS 800
  • CERT Basic Training

Description

Approximate Length: 24 hrs
(Usually divided into three 8 hour days, with a 1 hour lunch break each day)

Please note this class comes in several formats, please pay attention to which format you are selecting when registering.

  • In-Person: The class is held in person at one of our training sites.
  • Online Instructor-Led: Students complete part online at their own pace, then come in for in-person Skills Sessions.

Description​
​The CERT Program Manager Course is the course intended to train anyone who will be functioning as the program manager, CERT coordinator, or upper level CERT leadership of a CERT program.  The course contains topics such as program structure, policies for volunteers and instructors, how to establish a program, and how to manage resources.  Students must attend the entire course in order to receive certification.  TSI Maintains a cadre of Master Instructors capable of delivering the CERT Program Manager course.
Course Purpose:
The purpose of this Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program Manager course is to train CERT program leaders in best practices for running a successful CERT program.
