Incident Command System (ICS)

The Incident Command System, or ICS, is a standardized modular approach to the command, control, and coordination of emergency response and management.  ICS is part of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) which is implemented through FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security.  All ICS courses are taught by qualified instructors that have completed MGT-906 (ICS-449) and are certified through the Oregon Department of Emergency Management as ICS Instructors.  ICS can be applied not only to response agencies, but also to private sector corporations and nongovernmental organizations as a means to manage emergency situations or even daily operations.  ICS Courses are now offered both in-person and online using the Zoom platform.
