Please note this class comes in several formats, please pay attention to which format you are selecting when registering.
- In Person: The class is held in person at one of our training sites (location will be stated in the selection).
- Online Instructor-Led: The class is held online via Zoom, but is taught by a live instructor. Students attend the class virtually using the Zoom platform.
- Online (Self Study): The course is done online at a student’s own pace in a self-study format. This course in the Online version.
1. Purchase, or be included in the purchase of, an online course. (IMPORTANT: ONLY the person that registers for the course by redeeming the code will be listed on the course completion certificate. This is an automatic process and cannot be changed. If someone wants their name on the certificate, they MUST create an account on the TSI website and be the one that is logged into the course.)
2. Login to or Register an account on the TSI Education website.
3. Redeem the Online Course Code(s). (Redemption can be made at either the Online Course Login page, or the My Account page.)
4. Online courses can then be accessed via the “My Account” page under the “Your Courses” section. (You MUST register an account and be logged in to access online courses.)
The Youth Firearm Safety Course is an introductory safety class intended to introduce youth to the concepts of firearm safety. The course includes a section on the basic aspects of how firearms work, and an overview of the different types. Safety concepts such as what to do if a child discovers a firearm when an adult isn’t around, when it is okay and not okay to handle a firearm, the four cardinal safety rules, and proper handling techniques are all covered. Adults should attend the class alongside their child to answer specific questions the child may have and encourage them in the learning process. Please note that the course fee is per child, accompanying adults may attend the course for free, but will not receive a course completion certificate.
NOTE: This course is administered by a certified firearms instructor.
